
Class & Camp Info
2025 SUMMER CAMP DETAILS
All students who are between grades 5-12 may participate. Camps are limited to 24 campers, with a the goal being a ratio of 1 counselor to 3 students per camp.
All counselors are current/former students of the Construction Technology Department at Dos Pueblo High School. They are hand picked by the Director, Chris Mollkoy, and are qualified in all aspects of safety and the daily running of the woodshop.
It is $315 for each Half-Day (9am - 12pm) week long session. All materials are included and students will get to take home all projects. Each student will get a t-shirt. Bringing snack food is encouraged. No REFUNDS or TRANSFERS.
Skills/Tools
Fundamentals in use of tools, like the band saw, table saw, miter saw, lathe, and other hand tools. Not all students will be using these tools; it will depend on their age, experience, and natural ability.
Potential Projects
Custom tool carrier, pen turning, other turning projects on the Lathes, cutting boards, cell phone/tablet holders, skateboards, shelves, bookcases, bookmarks, and whatever else your creativity can envision!
Things To Bring
Positive attitude, willingness to listen carefully and follow directions 1st time asked, and creativity
Clothes/Personal Appearance
No open toed shoes, no long sleeve shirts; Students with long hair will have to have their hair tied back at all times in the shop.
